Citi "Thank You" Rewards



Citibank introduced its “Thank You” rewards program in 2005. The rewards, highlighted in distinctive orange quotation marks, were positioned as Citi's way of thanking their customers for everyday banking activities. The massive sumo wrestler window decal above became a popular photo backdrop for tourists — and helped create that ever-elusive "buzz" for the program.

In addition to the window decals, I also helped create a breakthrough, introductory self-mailer which unfolded to a 2’x3’ spread featuring the sumo wrestler in all his glory. If you have not had a chance to work with a sumo wrestler, I suggest you do so at your earliest convenience.
